Optimising with a Material Parameter Archive (MPA) file

How material parameter settings are used in an imported or extracted run

When a run (optimisation) is imported from a Pattern exchange file or extracted from an Archive file the program creates all the files necessary to recall and review the run. This is typically a set of several files based on the run number.

Most of the run based files can be accessed and viewed from the main screen in the usual way.

This is not the case for any Material parameter values. All the material parameters in use (for all the materials in the run) are stored in the MPA file. This file cannot be viewed or edited as it contains values from several different Material parameter (MPM) files.

Where an MPA file is used for a run this is indicated by a '?' symbol on the header line of the Review runs reports. The MPA file values override the optimising and saw parameter values in the usual way when the run is re-calculated or re-optimised.
