Destacking parameter to fit layout to a station
This parameter determines whether the part layout (destacking picture) must fit the station or whether the layout is variable.
Y - layout must fit station
N - layout is variable
In the above example the layout is 2 x 1. However, not all lengths of part in a 2 x 1 arrangement fit the station. This parameter determines what happens in this case.
If the parameter is set to N then the 2 x 1 layout is taken as variable and a 1 x 1 layout can be used where necessary.
If the parameter is set to Y then the 2 x 1 layout is fixed and the layout is either moved to the overflow station(s) or an error is reported (the exact rules are described in the notes below).
Notes
- When destacking on baseboards (or variable pallets) the size of the part layout determines the size of the baseboard. If the baseboard does not fit the station then it is destacked at the overflow station(s).
- When destacking on pallets (or fixed size baseboards) if the part layout does not fit the pallet then an error is displayed and the optimisation does not proceed. If the parts fit the pallet but the pallet is too big for any station then the stack is destacked at the overflow.
