Additional allowance for gap between recut parts

Optimising parameter to add an extra value to the gap between parts

mct1946-01.gif

Applies when taking recuts at the saw using a router at the rip saw.

This parameter adds an extra amount to the gap left between parts by the operation of the optimising parameter: Width of router for recuts

- Enter a value for the allowance

For combiTech1 see: See: Other recut devices

Notes

The total gap between parts involving a recut is:-

Maximum of ('router width'/2 OR 'saw kerf') + 'allowance'

The allowance is sometimes needed to compensate for small variations in the material or in the measurement system or to allow for inaccuracies caused by clamping.

Example:-

Router width                        = 10.0 mm

Saw blade thickness                 =  4.8 mm

Gap between parts        = (10.0/2) =  5.0 mm

Additional allowance                =  2.0 mm

Total gap between parts             =  7.0 mm
