Limits on template layout
Templates for nesting are typically relatively simple layouts and need to have restrictions so that the resulting pattern is not too complex.
- No instruction can overlap another instruction
For example, two parts cannot overlap, a part cannot overlap a strip boundary
- Parts or Waste parts cannot be inside another Part or Waste part (on the template)
- A strip can only contain 1 row or 1 column of items
Any errors of this sort are reported as the template is saved and the problem part or strip is listed.
