Cutting list rules - using part list fields

How to refer to part list fields in cutting list rules

When entering expressions or conditions at the Cutting list rules editor use the following text to refer to the part list fields.

- Enter the part list field in the short or expanded form

#P - [Part code]

#M - [Material Code]

#X - [Length]

#Y - [Width]

#Z - [Thickness]

#Q - [Quantity]

#G - [Grain]

#O - [Overs]

#U - [Unders]

#E - [Quick edging]

#L - [Line number]

#T - [Title]

#N - [Optimising parameters]

#S - [Saw parameters]

#D - [Drawing source]

#1 to #99 - information box numbers

For example, the following rules transfer the largest dimension to the Information box: Largest dimension

Field                  Expression       Condition

Largest Dimension      [Length]         [Length]>=[Width]

Largest Dimension      [Width]          [Width]>[Length]

The result is illustrated below:-

Notes

- #’ is used to distinguish a part list field from other text

- fixed text expressions can begin with the # symbol if the expression is delimited by quotes, for example “#1”

- The Short edge code will just be one field so if you need to set it you will need to specify a 4 digit value like 00WW.

- Z (thickness) can be used for rules but obviously not as a Info field as there is no thickness field in the cutting list.
