Min. area for sequence by path

Nesting parameter to set the mininum area for using 'sequence by path'

Typically 'small parts' are routed first and the remaining parts are routed in order of the shortest path (sequence by path).

This value defines the the minimum area of a part that can be routed as 'sequence by path'. Any parts below this area are 'small parts' and routed in the sequence 'smallest to largest'.

- Enter a value for the area

Use area units (e.g. square metres or square feet).

Notes

- Can also be set as a Material parameter at material level.

- Also use: Nesting information box: Smallest to largest

- Where there are several small parts of the same size they are sequenced in order of shortest path.  For purposes of calculating ascending size the area enclosed by the contour is used.

- The remaining parts are processed to use the shortest distance.  The centre of each contour is the reference point used when assessing the distance between consecutive parts.

- This processing sequence is determined after optimisation and applies to all nesting optimisers (Shaped, Shaped II, Rectangular)
