Optimising with existing board list

System parameter to set how board selection operates

When a part list is optimised the program creates a board list which contains all the board sizes (extracted from the board library) for the materials specified in the part list / cutting list.

These options determine how the selection operates. The options are:-

Use existing list

Re-select all boards

Append new boards

Prompt before modifying list

The last option is set with a check box and is only available if the board list changes.

Use existing list

The existing board list (if one exists is used), This ignores any recent changes in the board library.

Re-select all boards

Clears the existing list (if any) and re-selects the boards. The ensures that any recent changes to the board library are taken into account.

Append new boards

The existing list (if any) is retained but any new board sizes (for materials in the cutting list) that have recently entered the board library are added to the existing list.

Prompt before modifying list

Where the board list is changed the program can be set to prompt before the change is confirmed. Check the box to allow for a prompt.

Notes

- Append new boards and Re-select all boards can be used with 'Batch optimisation'. The program prompts for each run in the batch - to avoid this press the 'Yes to all' button.

- Append new boards can be used with the Stand alone options. The 'Prompt before modifying existing list' parameter is ignored and all board lists are updated.
