Option to copy and/or convert data from previous versions
To move data from an older version to a later one, e.g. from an earlier version to V12, user data and common data must be converted for the new version and copied to a new location.
Identify the user profile to convert and the new location. For example, the old data may be located in c:\V90\Data\User 1 and the converted data needs to be in c:\V12\Data\User 1.
- Use the latest version of the program. At the Main screen:-
● Select: Tools - Copy / Convert user profile
The list of User profiles is shown. Typically the profiles shown are the current profiles for the latest version and the profiles to convert are located elsewhere. Use the Browse option to select the user profile to convert.
● Select [ Browse ]
● Select the directory/folder where the User profile to copy/convert is located.
OK - to confirm
The user profiles for that location are shown.
● Select the profile to convert
OK - confirm copy/convert user profile
The program moves to the screen to select the location for the new (converted) data.
Other options
Refresh - update directory view
Cancel - cancel the Browse operation (this can be slow)
Exit - cancel the copy/convert process
Help - information about this dialog
Browse - select a different user profile

At the end of the conversion the program prompts:-
Select user profile now
Yes - move to new user profile
No - stay in current user profile
