Optimising parameters - information box

Box to store the name of the optimising parameter list used with a part

mct2109-01.png

This box stores the name of the optimising parameter list to use with a part, for example, OPT-01

Whilst the information can be entered manually for each part it is more typical for the information to be generated automatically from a variable (via the product explosion) or from a cutting list rule (when the cutting list is created).

This allows (with the Divide option) for the automatic creation of the correct optimising information when a batch of cutting lists is created.

For example, a part list may contain some parts that are sent to a nesting machine and some that are cut at the saw. To split the part list in this way the program needs to generate separate part lists and also to allocate to those part lists the correct set of optimising parameters to use.

Example  ------->  Example-01 ('OPT-01' optimising parameter list)

                   Example-02 ('Nesting' optimising parameter list)

This is just an example - there can be many different ways in which lists are split and different optimising parameters lists allocated to the batch.

A more detailed example is shown in the help topic: Using Optimising and saw parameter information boxes

Notes

- If the optimsing or saw parameter information is blank or not available the program uses the names set in the global boxes at the part list.
