Stock reports layout and settings - Overview

 

Edit content, lines, font and background for Stock reports for on-screen and printed layouts

 

Stock control only

 

Each report can be separately customised. The following items can be changed.

 

- Data on report

- Column sizes

- Fonts

- Totals and Sub headings

- Titles etc.

To make on-screen changes:-

 

- Move to a report (for example, Print - Orders by Material)

- Use the various options (e.g. Settings - Report settings) to alter the report.

 

By default all the changes (Report settings, View options) apply to the on-screen report.

 

To make changes for the printed version:-

 

- Move to a report (for example, Print - Orders by Material)

 

 Select: View - Print layout

or

(The button must be highlighted or the menu option checked).

 

 Use the various options (e.g. Settings - Report settings) to alter the report.

 

In this mode any changes (Report settings, View options) apply to the printed version.

 

Options to change the report layout.

 

The main options to change the report layout are:-

To change column sizes: View - Grid labels

To change grid lines: View - Grid lines

To change the range shown: File - Modify range

 

Exported version of the report

 

The exported version of the report typically requires a different layout and content. To set up the export format select: Settings - Export settings

 

Undo

 

To undo the last action, for example, a change of column size use the 'Undo' option.

 

- Press: Ctrl Z - undo last action

or

- Select: Edit - Undo

 

Copy

 

To copy any data on a report to the Windows clipboard.

 

- Use the mouse to select a block of data (or an individual item)

 

- Press: Ctrl C - copy data

or

- Select: Edit - Copy

 

Printing grid lines

 

If grid lines are included for on-screen reports or print layout - the option in 'Page Setup' grid lines should also be set to determine whether the grid lines are printed.

 

 

Notes
