Machining edit option to create a bevel between two groove routs for a border or contour
Where two groove routs on a border or contour join it can be useful to chamfer the join. This creates a bevel between the routs.
Join
Chamfer
● Move to a rout on a contour or border
● Select: Edit - Chamfer
The program prompts for the chamfer distances.
● Enter the distances
● Select OK
Distance 1 is the distance of the start of the chamfer back from where the routs join
Distance 2 is the distance from where the routs join to the end of the chamfer
Notes
- The chamfer option is not allowed when the two lines follow on in a straight line.
- Chamfer dialog shows the last two distances used in the current session
- The end element in the pass(es) for a contour/border are updated
