Odd looking pattern arrangements explained
Sometimes in 'Review runs' patterns are shown that look odd. For example a part could be placed with other parts in a pattern but an extra pattern has been used instead.
Part PRT/2 could fit into pattern 1 with a recut.
But this is prevented because the Optimising parameter: Recuts is set to only allow 'Multiple equal' recuts and PRT/2 is not as long as PRT/3
- Another example is with grain matching.
The 'grain matched' parts in pattern 2 could be cut on pattern 1.
But this is prevented because the Optimising parameter: Recuts is set to only allow 'Multiple equal' recuts and 'multiple unequal recuts' are needed to cut everything on a single pattern.
For 'odd' patterns always check the optimising and saw parameter settings carefully - these are often the cause of 'odd' arrangements. Sometimes they are genuine requirements but it is also easy to accidentally set a parameter value and produce unintended results.
