Rout connection tolerance

Machining centre parameter to allow for errors in DXF drawings - for import

mct2206-01.gif

When importing DXF drawings it may happen that lines or arcs (routs) in the drawing are not accurately placed. This value sets a maximum for the gap between lines which are taken as connected.

For example a connected rectangle may be drawn as separate lines in the DXF file - but the lines do not quite meet.

- Enter a value for the tolerance

The default value is 0.11 millimetres or 0.004 inches.

The parameter is on the 'Drawing' tab for Machining centre parameters.

Notes

- Where lines do not meet the program maintains one point and connects to the other. The point chosen depends on the way the contour/border is built up. Check imported drawings carefully as this may not be the intended join from the original drawing and the angle between the lines may not be as intended.
