Making last minute changes to runs
At the Review runs screens there are options to edit the following items.
- Cutting list
- Board list
- Optimising, Saw, Material parameters
- Forms and labels
● Move to the run
● Select an edit option from the 'Function' toolbar
- The program moves to the cutting list, board list ...
(These options are also available at the Edit menu)
The program moves to the Cutting list or Board list or Parameter as appropriate. The lists can be edited in the usual way but there are some important restrictions to be aware of.
Cutting list and Board list
At the cutting list or board list screen only the current list is available and can be edited. Minor changes can be made and on exit the run is recalculated. If there are changes that affect the optimisation (part sizes, part quantities, board sizes ...) the current set of patterns are deleted and the run is re-optimised.
Parameter lists
Typically many runs use the same set of parameters and it is rare to change the parameter list values significantly. The program prompts to create a copy of the parameter list (this avoids changing other runs). If changes are made the program creates a snapshot of the current parameter list and names it based on the run name.
If any changes are made they apply only to the new list and the new list is linked to the run.
On exit the run is re-calculated.
The parameter lists on the Edit menu are as follows.
Optimising parameters
Saw parameters
Material parameters
Saw transfer parameters
Machining centre parameters
Material parameters - a run with mixed materials may use several different parameter lists. If these are edited the program prompts with the lists used - they can be selected and edited in the usual way.
Re-optimise
If the changes do not affect the patterns but there may be some under production an error is reported. The program prompts to re-optimise the data.'Some parts not produced - re-optimise list?'.
