Pattern layout and optimising options
When generating cutting patterns the optimiser considers the value of offcuts. Where there is a useful area of material at the front of a set of strips the optimiser can create a 'recut only' strip which avoids the offcut being destroyed by the usual rip cuts.
If rips are taken in the usual way the offcut is lost.
To work in this way make sure to set the Optimising parameter: Recut - Multiple - no restrictions
