Pattern - 8 digit file names

Machining centre transfer parameter to set the length of the file name

This sets how the file name for each pattern is created.

tickbox9.gif Check the box to limit the file name to 8 characters

For nested pattern files the file names are usually 9 digits (5 digits from the pattern name and 4 digits for the pattern number).

e.g. Filename for run 00005 pattern 2 would be:  000050002

If the 8 digit filenames parameter is set then the pattern number uses only 3 digits

e.g. Filename for run 00005 pattern 2 would be:  00005002

Notes

- If the pattern file name is longer than 5 digits an 8 digit file name cannot be created.

- If the '8 digit filenames' parameter is set, the nested pattern filenames that appear in the CSV file and the Work list (LIS) are also in 8 digit format.
