Machining centre parameter to set DXF import options
When working with DXF based parts this parameter is used to set how the border is interpreted when the DXF part drawing is imported.
The options are:-
Leave unchanged
Longest
Longest in X
Longest in Y
Leave unchanged - means leave the border start as defined by the polyline in the DXF file.
Longest - means start halfway along the longest groove rout in the border.
Longest in X - means start halfway along the longest horizontal groove rout in the border.
Longest in Y - means start halfway along the longest vertical groove rout in the border.
This is useful if the DXF drawing has been set up to start from one of the corners of the border - this setting adjusts the start to a more practical point for machining.
Notes
- For the last two types, if there are no horizontal (or vertical) groove routs in a border then the start will be unchanged.
- If a border is only comprised of arcs no change is made to the start.
