10 day key re-activation

System Check option to restart a security key for a temporary period

If a security key has expired the program does not start.

However, the first time this happens there is an option to re-activate the security key for a 10 day period. This allows users to deal with accidental cases where the end date of the key was forgotten or missed.

On the first expiry of a security key the program moves to the 'System check' screen and runs the 10 day key re-activation screen.

- Contact your distributor for the activation code.

- Enter the activation code

If the wrong code is entered an error is reported

It is important to use the 10 days to get an upgrade file for the key as once this re-activation has ended the 10 day period cannot be repeated.

Notes

- The 10 day re-activation dialog is also available on the 'Check' menu at the System Check screen. This option is only present when a security key has expired and is enabled only if the key can be re-activated

- Expired demo cloud licences where an extension has already been requested, In some cases, a licence extension may already have been requested in advance and a licence update is available on the licencing server. In this case system check will test for (and apply) a licence update before the 10 day re-activation dialog appears. The program reports:

Cloud licence updated

If the demo licence has still expired after the licence update, select the re-activate button.
