System parameter to set how stock control operates
Auto-reserve boards during optimisation
Set this parameter to automatically reserve stock during optimisation.
At the end of optimisation, the reservation is adjusted to reflect the stock actually used.
Notes
One board list per run:
- If a batch of runs is re-optimised, the reservation for each run in the batch is deleted before the first run is optimised. This ensures that each run is able to use the appropriate free stock.
- As each run is optimised, the free stock of all boards in the working board list is reserved to the run for the duration of the optimisation. At the end of the optimisation, the reservation is reduced to reflect the stock actually used. This prevents stock from being reserved for other users who may be optimising at the same time.
One board list per batch:
- A single reservation is created for the batch. This is named after the batch board list.
- Prior to the batch optimisation, the free stock of all boards in the batch board list is reserved for the duration of the optimisation. At the end of the optimisation, the reservation is reduced to reflect the stock actually used. This prevents stock from being reserved to other users who may be optimising at the same time.
