Saw parameters to control the passive buffer
These parameters are only available for saw model 26 HOMAG flexTec CADmatic 5
The Passive buffer is used to store strips shorter than the 'Min length of strip', recuts and strips which cannot be stored in the Active buffer because it is full. Items can be stored in either orientation in the Passive buffer. Strips can be stored widthways (strip width parallel to the buffer length) in the Passive buffer provided the strip length is no more than the buffer width plus the 'Overhang'. There must be a gap between each strip stored in this orientation.
If strips cannot be stored widthways they are stored lengthways in 'bins'. The first strip in a bin defines the length of the bin. Other strips of the same length or shorter are stored in the same bin separated by the defined gap provided the total width of strips in the bin does not exceed the available buffer width.
Items in the Passive buffer are offset from the buffer edge by defined minimum distance – with the exception of overhanging strips.
Note:
Width – The total width of these strips plus the gaps between each strip must be less than the Active buffer width. The Active buffer width is defined by the ‘Overall cutting length’ set on cutting page 1.
