3D Product connection
Connections can be added between a rout on one part and the edge of another part by right clicking on the rout and choosing ‘Add connection’ from the menu.
After right clicking the rout the edges available for connecting on the other part are highlighted in red
Only edges which will fit into the rout will be shown as being available. If the rout extends out of the edges of the part then any length of part edge will be available. If the part edge is longer than the part it’s being fitted to then it will place the part with an equal length sticking out from each end. Otherwise the part edge will be aligned with the start of the rout.

As with connecting two parts together using drill instructions the ‘Add connection’ dialog will be shown. However since a part will only fit into a rout in two possible ways the rotation buttons will switch the parts between their two possible relative orientations.
