3D product connector properties
When a connector is added or edited by right clicking on a part the connector dialog will be displayed.
Connector dialog
Initially it is populated with values from where the connector was placed, however new position values can be specified. Formulas can be specified in the edit boxes where the formula buttons are shown. Position values are specified in terms of the part on which the connector is placed.
Xstart - The x position of the connector on the part.
Ystart – The y position of the connector on the part.
Position in Z – The position of the connector down into the part. A zero value is on the surface of the part. A value of ‘=Z’ is on the back of the board.
Pitch – The pitch specifies the angle of the connector in degrees around its axis. A pitch of zero refers to the angle at which the connector was originally pointed. When the pitch edit box has focus a pitch indicator is drawn in the view to display what the pitch values mean.
Pitch indicator
Angle – The angle at which the connector was placed on the board, read only.
On/Off – Whether the connector is turned on.
Depth – The depth at which the connector is placed.
The values in the repeat box refer to connectors that have been placed on an instruction and are explained in the section ‘Snap to object’.
When the connector dialog is displayed the part on which the connector is placed is shown in the middle view with the connectors face turned towards the camera. The view is placed in orthogonal mode
