Pattern library - Overview

Create and store patterns and pattern templates

The pattern library stores patterns and pattern templates (pattern templates are used for Grain matching)

 Select: Libraries - Pattern library

or

Select the Toolbar option

Use the List box and Navigation buttons to select patterns and templates.

Patterns can either be saved from a set of patterns in Review runs (double click on a full screen pattern) or created manually at the Pattern library.

Fixed and template patterns - Fixed patterns have a fixed set of part sizes. Template patterns describe the arrangement of parts but not the part sizes and are therefore a more flexible way of storing patterns.

Template patterns are used for situations where the relative arrangement of some or all of the parts in a pattern must be fixed, for example, to ensure that the grain matches in the final product - a common situation with drawer fronts with grained material.

- Editing and creating patterns is the same as for Pattern Amendment (Summaries - editors); see topic below.

(For full details of editing pattern see the topics on the 'Pattern editor')
