Part costing - Overview

Printed report showing the detailed breakdown of cost of producing each part

Only available as a Printed report

At it's simplest it is the material cost of the part after optimisation

 Select: Print - Part costing

The program shows the Part costing dialog:-

Select an optimised run from the list

The other options control the content of the report.

Print full - all details for each part

The above example is the List report.

Make sure that all information needed to calculate part costing is set up correctly including the system parameters.

Notes

- Full part costing is only available with the, Edging, Part library, Quote/Products modules

- Divided lists - If an original part list is divided in to separate lists for optimisation the part costing report for the original list sums all the costs for a part in all the divided lists so that you get the complete cost details of each part in the original list. If you select one of the divided lists an error is reported because there is only a part costing report for the original list.

- Reports only include those costs for the available modules, so, for example, edging costs are not included if the Edging library module is not available.

- Where a part code is quite long the first part is shown on the main line and the full code shown on the next line.
