Parts produced in any quantity - keep waste and offcuts to a minimum
These are parts that have no fixed requirement. They are typically parts that are common to many different jobs or frequently used stock parts. They can be added to any part list and this helps to reduce waste because the parts are only produced if they are required to use material that would otherwise be waste.
To define a part as a Plus part - start the part code or description with a +.
+STOCK/1
+END/BX2
- Enter the quantity in the quantity column
This is the maximum number of plus parts required. The actual number produced varies from 0 to this number
Also enter a plus part by setting the quantity to zero and entering the maximum plus parts required as overs (in this case do not use the + at the start of the code). Use the optimising parameter: Value of plus parts to determine the extent to which Plus parts are used
The plus parts may or may not be used in patterns'
The extent to which Plus parts (if included) are used is controlled by the Optimising parameter: Value of Plus parts
