Review runs rules - pre-laminated boards

Full details of the changes to summaries for boards based on Combo materials

The Summaries in Review runs are changed to show the combination materials and the details of each combination.

Summaries

When composite materials are used the Board Summary also shows the component boards underneath each composite board. Most other summaries refer to the Pre-laminated boards

Board components on pattern print

The board components are also shown on the top of the pattern printout against Material, so that you can visually check that the board loaded on the saw matches the pattern to be cut. The format is:-

Pre-laminated boards - update stock

For update stock with runs for pre-laminated boards, stock update automatically adjusts the stock of each component board used and adds any offcuts of composite board to the library. The quantities of composite boards are not changed as there is never any stock of composite material, these entries are just for specifying the preferred sizes.

Cost of composite boards

When calculating the cost of a composite board the program previously summed the cost per unit area of the component boards. This is misleading if the component boards vary in size. Therefore if all component boards are satisfied by the board library and the composite board has a predefined size, the cost of the composite board is given by:-

COST = (( area core * cost per area) + (area face laminate * cost per area) + (area back laminate * cost per area)) / ( area composite board)

Where a composite board is incomplete or no preferred size is given the program uses the previous calculation.
