10 day re-activation of a demo cloud licence
System Check option to re-activate a demo cloud licence for a temporary period
If a demo cloud licence has expired the program does not start.
However, the first time this happens there is an option to re-activate the licence for a 10 day period. This allows users to deal with accidental cases where the end date of the licence was forgotten or missed. An internet connection is required.
On the first expiry of a demo licence the program moves to the 'System check' screen and runs the 10 day key re-activation screen.
- Contact your distributor for the activation code.
- Enter the activation code
If the wrong code is entered an error is reported.
When the correct code is entered, the program contacts the licencing server for a demo licence re-activation and reports that this has been applied.
It is important to use the 10 days to get an extension for the licence as once this re-activation has ended the 10 day period cannot be repeated.
If your demo licence has more than one seat, other users may use the re-activated licence. When starting the program, if a re-activated licence is available, the program displays the system check tool with the 10 day re-activation dialog. No reactivation code is required: select OK to request the re-activated licence. The program contacts the licencing server for a licence update and reports that this has been applied.
Notes
- The 10 day re-activation dialog is also available on the 'Check' menu at the System Check screen. This option is only present when a demo licence has expired and is enabled only if the licence can be re-activated.
