Saw transfer - multiple saws

Send data to several saws

It is possible to set up several different methods of transfer for sending data to the saw and this is may be needed where using two or more saws and the run is optimised for a particular saw. It is also useful where, for example, there are two saws of a similar type and the decision about which saw to use is not made until the jobs are ready to cut, for example, to smooth production flow or take account of unplanned saw stoppages.

Saw transfer parameters - use these to define each saw. For each saw you need to set the following parameters.

Machine interface for choosing between saws - If more than one saw is defined the Machine Interface includes the different saws rather than the option 'Transfer to saw'.

Saw 1

Saw 2

Saw 3

The name of the saw is used where that is set. A saw is shown in this menu if the Saw transfer parameter parameters 'Path for saw data' or 'Options' are set.

Select the saw required from the Machine interface menu

The sub-menu shows the appropriate choices for that method, this depends on the transfer mode, whether buffered transfer is set etc.

Choice of saws and Label designer - Where using the label designer to export label designs to a saw there is an extra menu to choose which saw the design is exported to. The menu only shows the saws available for that type of label design.
