Use this option to make manual changes to cutting dimensions
Only for STG and Videomatic saw models
Cutting dimensions are the instructions sent to the saw to cut patterns. The detailed layout of the cutting dimensions is different for each saw type but they all consist of a Dimension, Quantity, and Function code.
A Dimension is a movement for the board or part on the saw. The Quantity is the number of times that movement in performed. The Function code gives information to the saw about the activity, for example, a saw cut, a drawback, end of pattern and so on. The order of the each line (called an address) in the cutting dimensions indicates the cutting sequence for the saw.
To amend/edit cutting dimensions select the pattern to edit in Review runs and select the cutting dimension tab at the foot of the pattern screen.
At the pattern screen tab for cutting dimensions:-
● Select: Edit - Cutting dimensions
or
Select the Toolbar option
A dialog is displayed to edit the cutting dimensions
- Click on a box to edit it.
Insert - insert a line
Delete - delete current line
OK - save the changes
Cancel - abandon changes
To edit cutting dimensions make sure the Saw parameter: Label data for saw is set to 'None' as otherwise the cutting dimensions cannot be edited as this may change the order in which parts are produced and the label sequence may not be correct.
Notes
- Refer to the saw manual for full details of the cutting dimensions for the saw
- Program does not check the validity of your changes as often the reason for a change is that you want to produce a cut not covered by the normal rules.
- Cutting dimensions can only be edited from some Saw types e.g. Compumatic, STG. This depends on the saw model set in saw parameters.
