Describe features of saws
The parameters shown depend on the type of saw (Saw model)
The saw parameters describe the various features of each saw, for example, cutting height, maximum drawback ...
At the main screen:-
● Select: Parameters - Saw Parameters
or
Select
the Toolbar option
The parameter list selection screen is displayed.
● Select: New for a new list
or
● Select an existing list
● Select: New from Template for a new list with pre-set values
The program moves to the Saw parameter screen.
At the main parameter screen select the Tab for each set of parameters.
- Enter values for saw and working methods
The picture at the right shows how each parameter operates - select F1 (or Help) for more details.
The parameters required depend on the Saw model. This is the first parameter on Cutting 1 tab. Click on the combo box button to see a full list of saw types. If the exact saw is not shown pick one that is similar.
For a sliding table saw, for example, there are only a handful of parameters to consider. For an Angular saw plant where assessing the cutting time accurately is important there may be several pages of parameters to consider.
Review the parameters in the list and set them according to the specific features for each saw. In many cases the supplier can provide parameter lists already set up for each type of saw and these can be used as a starting point.
The parameters are split over several tabs - the tabs available depend on the saw model set on the Cutting 1 tab.

The Speeds and Times 2 tab is usually greyed out. This is for saws that can work at a faster rate with small books. Use the Saw parameter: Faster operation with small books (Speed and Times 1 tab) to allow this type of operation and unlock the Speed and Times 2 tab
