Field at the variables table
Set a value for the variable which is used if no other value is entered. For example, 'WHITE' for colour related variable or '600mm' for a size related variable.

Click on the list box for a list of values for the default. This list
shown is the list set by the 'Variable directory' column.
Default values can be especially useful where the default is the usual answer for a product and the variation is only required occasionally.
