Import parameter to set the type of import
The program can import part sizes from many different file formats:-
Part list order - ASCII/Unicode CSV (PNX)
Cabinet Vision format
Product Planner format
Code and quantity - ASCII/Unicode CSV (PNX)
Batch - part list order (BTX & PNX)
Batch - Code and quantity (BTX & PNX)
User defined order - ASCII/Unicode CSV
Batch - user defined order (BTX)
Parts & boards - ASCII/Unicode CSV (PTX)
Parts & boards - Access (MDB)
User defined order - parts only - Excel (XLS)
User defined order - parts only - Excel (XLSX)
User defined order - parts and boards - Excel (XLS)
User defined order - parts and boards - Excel (XLSX)

Set up
There are several other settings to consider for each format. Work through the Import parameters to complete the set up. For more information see the help topic: Import parts, boards, requirements, patterns - Overview
For the 'User defined order' options the layout of the import file is specified in the Part list Import parameters (Main screen - Parameters - Part list Import parameters). The part list import parameter list to use for any import is selected at the Import screen.
The option to enter 'Parameters for import' is only used for the 'User defined' import choices.
