Optimising parameter to set the level of recuts allowed for patterns
This value controls the complexity of recuts allowed; it can be set separately for the main and the head portions of the board. Choose a value to suit the cutting requirements. More complex recuts tend to improve yield but can lead to longer cutting times and more handling.
Recuts - Main
Set the recuts for the main area of the board.
None
Single
Multiple - equal
Multiple - unequal
Multiple - no restrictions
Multiple - no restrictions - allows the optimiser to produce complex and nested patterns where these are cost effective. This type of pattern is often useful for low volume cutting of expensive material or where, for example, a single pattern is divided and machined on a machining centre.
Recut only strips - the setting of 'multiple no restrictions' allows the optimisers to produce (where these are necessary) 'Recut only' strips. These are strips where the width of the strip is not defined by any of parts (all the parts in the strip are recut).
Recuts - Head
Set the recuts for the head portions of the board.
The options are:-
None
Single
Multiple - equal
Multiple - unequal
Multiple - no restrictions
Notes
- Can also be set as a material parameter at both board and material level
- Vertical strips only. Where the optimising parameter: 'Vertical strips only' is set for head portions of the board there are some restrictions (single recuts only) on the recut levels allowed.
