External file types for board data
These formats are for importing boards to a board list
ASCII/Unicode CSV (BDX)
User defined format - ASCII/Unicode CSV
User defined format - Excel (XLS)
User defined format - Excel (XLSX)
- The type of import is set at the Import dialog.

The BDX format is standard format for the Optimising program. It is an ASCII file in a fixed format one record for each board. #
- Separator - if the separator is not a comma then any commas within the file are treated as decimal points - this allows for cases where a comma is used as the decimal point symbol.
- Not all the fields specified in the BDX format are used when importing into a Board list (as these fields are not used in the Board list). The fields NOT imported are:-
Material description (the extra description field in the Board library)
Max book height
Material density
