System parameter to set the data format for importing boards via stock control
Boards can be imported into the Board library via Stock control in several different formats.
The value set is used by the Stock Control option: Stock - Import stock |
Use the list option to choose the format
Board list (BRD)
Board list order ASCII/Unicode CSV (BDX)
User defined format - ASCII CSV
User defined format - Excel (XLS)
User defined format - Excel (XLSX)
Homag Automation (BESTAND.STK file)
woodStore (SQL Server database)
If a 'User defined order' is selected also enter the name of the parameter file which describes the order, for example:-
See: Parameters for Import - Board library |
Notes
- The BDX format is described in the Board Library section. For import only the first 2 items (board code and quantity) are absolutely necessary:-
B27/1,250
B28/1,3000
B35,-150
B36,0,C15,2440.0,1220.0,17.0,1.5,0
SP8,345
- Subtract board quantities from the board library by including minus(-) sign in the quantity field
- This parameter does NOT affect the option at the main screen: File - Import boards
- When importing data from the external database any Board library fields that are not linked to the external fields are set to standard values.
The linked fields are listed in the topic: woodStore stock control database - technical |
- Cost only updated (overwritten) if the cost is greater than 0. If the cost is not included or left blank this is taken as 0, that is, no change.
- For the overwrite stock option, the audit trail shows an adjustment from file. For example, if the board STD-BLACK has a stock quantity of 1500 but has a quantity of 1000 in the file, the audit trail shows an adjustment of -500. Stock adjusted to zero quantity is not deleted unless designated an offcut.
